Banknotes were prepared for, but not issued by Demarara and Essequibo (Demarary and Essequibo) in the 1830's. The banknotes are quite rare. They are also dual-denominated.

First Issue

*PA1. 1 Joe or 22 Guilders. 1 May 1830. Black.

*PA4. 10 Joes or 220 Guilders. ND. (1830's). Reddish brown.

econd Issue

*PB1. 1 Joe of 22 Guilders. ND. (1830's).

*PB2. 2 Joes of 22 Guilders each. ND. (1830's).

*PB3. 3 Joes of 22 Guilders each. ND. (1830's).

*PB4. 10 Joes of 22 Guilders each. ND. (1830's).
