Darla Givens

Darla Kaye Givens Born on June 21, 1966 (Age 42) in Louisiana. Joined the KXTV News10 Weather Team in December 1999 as the Morning/ Afternoon Meteorologist. In August 2001, Darla moved to the coveted weekend newscasts. She works from Thursday-Friday as the Meteorlogist on News10 Midday and early friday mornings for the friday give away during News10 Good Morning and Saturday/ Sunday News10 at 5, 6, 11pm.

Darla got her distinguished Bachelor's Degree from CSU Dominguez Hills. And later completed a master's dregree program in Broadcast Meteorology at San Francisco State University. Darla started her career as a beauty queen in West LA, and broadcasting in Hollywood, and then at KFSN ABC 30 Action News in Fresno from 1991-1996 and KTXL FOX 40 News in Sacramento from 1996-1999.

Darla currently resides in the Mather Field area east of Sacramento county with three sons, Jace, Shasta, and Canyon and husband, Pete Mizera, said to be one of the finest drummers to walk the earth. Darla is also active at Harvest Christian church in Elk Grove, California.
