(2003)"Mala Gente" is a song written and performed by Colombian
singer-songwriter Juanes . The song is the thirdradio single off of his secondstudio album , "Un Día Normal ". It shows his frustration with his soon-to-be ex-girlfriend who he calls "mala gente," meaning "evil woman." She tells him their love was in vain and it's over, but she wants to be friends. He, however, doesn't want to be friends. He thinks she is a liar who played with his emotions, and she'll regret leaving him. In the end, she does regret it and wants him back. Too bad for her he doesn't want anything to do with her anymore. The song has a catchy chorus and is a great breakup song. This track won the
Latin Grammy Award for Best Rock Song at theLatin Grammy Awards of 2003 , the third year in a row for the singer to win this field.Track listing
