Dr Barry Lubetkin (born 1944) is the Director and founder of The Institute For Behavior Therapy in
New York City . He isBoard certified in bothClinical Psychology and Behavioral Psychology. He is the author of numerous academic and popular articles as well as two popular self help books: "Bailing Out"and "Why Do I Need You to Love Me in Order to Like Myself". Doctorate in Clinical Psychology fromKent State University in 1969 and was a fellow in theNational Institute of Mental Health Alcoholism Training Program atHarvard Medical School andMassachusetts General Hospital and an NIMH fellow in Behavior Modification at Stony Brook. He has had faculty positions atRutgers ,Hofstra , Stony Brook, Yeshiva andNew York University .
