New York . The club was founded in2004 as an all Albanian club but over the years has added players from different countries all over the world, especially Greece.No one remembers the early seasons.
FC Partizani NY made a good start in the 2007/08 season, getting a few positive results and beating the league leaders United Rocklanders 2-1 away. They reached the second place in the table but due to the departure of Coach Arapi, the team suffered. The second half of the season did not smile the same way to the young Albanian powerhouse. FC Partizani NY finishded the season in last place in Group A, with 10 points. But a new dawn was approaching, a dawn brought about by a formidable superstar, often ridiculed in the media.
Pre-Season 2008/2009 started with a bang. The red devils won the triangular tournament(also featuring Pythagoras Samos and Astoria Friends. After a suprise 2-2 draw with Astoria, Partizani came out guns blazing and defeated Pythagoras 2-1, courtesy of a superstrike by Pirosi and the other goal was scored by some other guy. After lifting the hypothetical cup, Danny (the captain) yelled out..."We are Sparta"(completely unnecessary). The positive results did not end here. The powerhouse could not be stopped even by SC Astoria, a team ranked second a division higher than Partzani. After a quiet 20 minutes, Pirosi exploded and launched a frontal attack on all strikers of the world releasing a mortar-of-a*shot from 35 meters. The ball ended up in the top-right corner...the goalies efforts were rendered futile, common it was a mortar shot, you can't catch it. His goal celebration remeniscent of a playboy after landing a hot mama. Legend has it that he said, "Did I do that?" yes son, you did. Final score was 2-2 with the other goal coming from the feet of the most talented yet cute player of Partizani. Yet again it was Pirosi that scored after a deflection from a delusional defender tried to stop his fireball shot. The new season begins in mid-September, and with the team in such high spirits, we only hope that there will not be casualties in opponents confidence.
