- Perri Reavis
Perri Reavis is currently the traffic reporter of
KLTY -FM in Dallas/Fort Worth. She is one of the most sought-after reporters and has worked on nearly every popular station in the Metroplex. She began her D/FW career in 1996 at KZPS-FM as the overnight DJ. From there she moved into the news and traffic reporting side of radio. She worked on KHKS-FM filling in for Gail Lightfoot. She then found a home at KEGL-FM as the morning show co-host with Chris Ryan and then Mikey Esparza of the Mikey Show.In 2001 Perri Reavis left KEGL-FM to become the airborne reporter for KVIL-FM. On April 11, 2002 Perri was involved in a helicopter crash which she barely survived. Along with Perri was Starlene Stringer and John Wolf, reporters for KLTY-FM and KRLD-FM. Their pilot, David Meyers, was incredibly skillful in missing trees, power lines, cars, houses and more to bring the helicopter down on a residential street. They hit with a hard thump, bounced several times, and then skid into a busy road. Being rush hour it is truly amazing that their ship did not hit nor was hit by an automobile.
Perri continued to work for KVIL-FM for a few months. When they demanded that she fly again she refused and was let go only to be quickly snatched up by KLTY-FM. Starlene Stringer had been moved to the news director position by then. Perri is still with KLTY-FM and has been heard saying she's the happiest she's been in years.
In January, 2005 Perri suffered another devastating accident. While visiting friends in Utah with her son, Devin, Perri broke her back sledding. She spent two weeks in the hospital and was then transferred back to Dallas to continue her rehabilitation.
Perri is still with KLTY-FM and walks with a cane.
