Pregassona

Pregassona

Pregassona is small village on the slopes of Mount Bré, near Lake Lugano, Ticino, Switzerland. On December 15, 2002, the New Lugano proposal was passed, and Pregassona was absorbed into the city of Lugano as a quartiere.

The name Pregassona comes from a contraction of the local dialect for "near the Cassone"; the Cassone is a small river that flows through the village.
