Jonah33 was founded by Vince Lichlyter, who grew up in
Seattle, Washington . When 17 years old Vince said he had had enough of his family and left home. It wasn't till a near fatal drug overdose that he wanted a change in his life so he called his old home and asked if they would take him back. He decided that if they would not take him back he would commit suicide. Vince's family did take him back and soon after he accepted Christ. After moving to Arkansas and starting up a student ministry there, he put together a musical ensemble which attracted the interest ofArdent Records .
