The Asian Institute of Communication and Research, also known as AICAR Business School, is nestled in the foothills of Matheran, about 90 minutes from Mumbai.

History

The AICAR Business School is the brainchild of a group of citizens belonging to the corporate world dedicated to creating a world-class Residential Institute which will offer Graduate Students and corporate the opportunity to enhance skills in the research and development of management and communication practices of a standard unparalleled in most other Institutes. Put simply, institutes aim is to develop and create world-class quality leaders and communicators capable of providing leadership in all spheres of commerce and service in any part of the world.

The institute has Aptech, a pioneer in Global Learning Solutions in India and overseas, as a strategic partner and are guided by their strategic direction.

The Asian Institute of Communication & Research was inaugurated by Mr. Kerry Rubie, Vice Chairman, Leo Burnett Worldwide, Inc. on 31st October, 2002

AICAR - PGDM - Two-Year Full-Time Residential Programme

AICAR Business School is approved by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi. It offers a two - year full time Post Graduate Diploma in Management

The course includes specialization in the following areas: Communication; Marketing; Financial Services; Human Resource Management; Banking and Insurance.

Infrastructure and other facilities

It is located at Neral, Maharashtra, at the foothills of Matheran, near Karjat beside the Ulhas River.

Situated about 1.5 km from the Neral Railway Station and approximately 1.5 hours by train or car from Mumbai, it has easy access to the Metropolis and Pune.

The institute has a 120 rooms [240-bed] Boys & Girls Hostel along with 35 rooms [70-bed] and a MDP Hostel together with a huge Cafeteria space to enjoy variety of Indian and Continental food. Among other facilities the institute provides a 4,000 square feet full air-conditioned library and computer laboratory, state-of-art WIFI campus,gymnasium, swimming pool and convenience store.

The Institute also provides teaching materials, as used by individual faculty staff during their sessions, on-line through a unique Learner’s Management System software for the benefit of students.
