Catherine Trautmann

Mme Catherine Trautmann (born on 15 January 1951 in Strasbourg)is a former Minister of Culture of France and now Member of the European Parliament for the East of France.

She was elected as mayor of Strasbourg in 1989, re-elected in 1995, then defeated in 2001.

She is a member of the Socialist Party, part of the Party of European Socialists and sits on the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy.

She is a substitute for the Committee on Culture and Education and also a member of theDelegation for relations with Canada.
