3 July 1959 inAlgiers ) is a French politician andMember of the European Parliament for the south-west ofFrance . He is a member of the Socialist Party, which is part of theParty of European Socialists , and sits on theEuropean Parliament 'sCommittee on International Trade .He is also a substitute for the
Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and a member of the delegations to the EU–Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee, theACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly , and theEuro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly .Career
