Klaus John Podgurski(born in 1969 in Burlingame, California), better known as Klaus, is best known as the guitarist for multiple super groups throughout the U.S. and Europe. Although he has also produced several solo albums from 1985 to 2007.

Klaus began working on a solo album following the release of his second album, coming out with the 12" single "Seymore Vag" (with "The Drugstore Cowboy" as the B-Side) in 1992 and the EP Chingy in 1998.

Klaus also worked with Nirvana (band) in the studio as a producer (along with Butch Vig) and helped out with guitar, bass, and drum tracks on "Nevermind". Klaus also played back-up guitar recently on the Police's recent tour.

Klaus' guitar/bass style integrates not only typical punk-rock playing [heavy use of a pick, most of the time downstroke, fast tempo] but it also contains elements from Speed Metal, Blues, Ska, jazz, reggae, and other exotic types of music.

Klaus' gear includes a 1968 Kustom bass amp, Mesa Boogie guitar amp, 1976 Fender P.Bass, 1968 Cream Les Paul Custom, 1959 Sunburst Les Paul Standard, 1959 and 1969 Fender Stratocasters, Tama drums. He has been using this equipment from the early years and still owns and uses this equipment today on stage. The Fender P. bass is covered with stickers, and the pickguard is stained with blood. Other guitars such as a Fender Nocaster and a blue Fender Bass VI have also been used. Little is known on Klaus' amplification during the 90's, he probably used Ampeg SVT heads and matching 8*10 cabs, but recent pictures show a Gallien Krueger stack made of a 3*10 and a 2*15 cabinets, powered by a Gallien Krueger 1001 RB II head and power amp. According to the man himself, Klaus used "a Deizel amplifier on Fresh Bush. Also, Boss pedals can be seen in recent pictures.
