Bernhard Flies (about
1770 inBerlin – ?) was a German amateur composer, best known for music to thelullaby "Schlafe, mein Prinzchen, schlaf ein" ("Sleep, my little prince, fall asleep").Only little is known about Flies. He was a doctor of medicine and an amateur composer of some piano pieces and songs. The best-known is the romantic music to the lullaby "Schlafe, mein Prinzchen" (also known as "Wiegenlied") from the theatre play "Esther" written by
Friedrich Wilhelm Gotter (1746–1797). For a long time, the composition was mistakenly attributed toWolfgang Amadeus Mozart (K.350 in theKöchel-Verzeichnis ).External links
