Bertram Charles Binning (10 February 1909 –
16 March 1976 ), popularly known as B. C. Binning, was a leading Canadian artist artist and influence on (Canadian) West Coast architecture. He help found the Department of Fine Art at theUniversity of British Columbia .Education
B. C. Binning started his studies in 1927 at the Vancouver School of Decorative and Applied Arts (shortly to become the Vancouver School of Art) under
Frederick Varley . He continued in the 1930 studying in New York and London, underMark Gertler ,Amédée Ozenfant , andHenry Moore .Bibliography
