He is a member of theSocial Democratic Party of Finland , which is part of theParty of European Socialists , and sits on theEuropean Parliament 's Committee on Industry, Research and Energy.Reino Paasilinna was born in "Aunus", a ship on the Arctic Ocean, on the coast ofNorway .
