Adelphius

Adelphius

Adelphius (born ca 390), was a Bishop of Limoges (then Augustoritum) at Haute Vienne from ca 420. His son, born ca 420, was the father of Saint Ruricius.

He had an older brother named Hermogenianus, both children of Pontius, born ca 360 (son of (Pontius) Paulinus, Nobleman at Bordeaux, then Burdigala), and married before 390 to his wife Anicia, in turn the daughter of Quintus Clodius Hermogenianus Olybrius, Consul of Rome in 379, and wife Turrenia Anicia Juliana.
