Dj Ralf Antonio Ferrari (September the 20th, 1957), commonly known as Dj Ralf is an Italian Disc Jockey, music producer and founder of LaTerra, an independent music label. He was born in a small Italian town called Bastia Umbra and was renamed as Ralf by his friends and parents since most tender age. After working in small discos of his province (Perugia), he landed at the Cocoricò where he is still resident DJ on the first and third Saturdays every month.
Actually
In addition to the Cocoricò he has worked and still works in many other famous clubs either in Italy or abroad: Adrenaline, AlterEgo, Area City, Divinae Follie, Echoes , Ethos Mama, Fluid, Goa, Guendalina, Hollywood ( Pervert party), Maffia, Matis, Mazoom, Metropolis, Muretto, Pervert, Pleigine, Red Zone, Tenax , Villa delle Rose, Amnesia di Ibiza, Cavo Paradiso (Mykonos), Crobar (Miami) to join the Winter Music Conference, Ministry of Sound and Vertigo(London), Pacha (Ibiza), Roxy (Amsterdam), Space (Ibiza)...
He regularly cooperates with the organization of the "Folies de Pigalle" on the first and third Sundays every month, with "Colazione da Tiffany" and since '94 he has been cooperating with the Made in Italy Ibiza either in Italy but chiefly in Ibiza. In 2001 he was regular guest at the Ministry of Sound in London during the party called "Rulin'".
He wrote his own column, called "Touch and Go" for the Discoid magazine [1] where he reviewed new releases on 12 inches, experiences, opinions and told his adventures. However the publications of this review are currently suspended (from August 2006). Many people really enjoyed reading that column, especially young djs who really miss it.
During the Milan fashion week you can always find him at the decks of the fashion parade of DSquared2, since the stylists Dean & Dan really love his work and appraise his huge knowledge of music. In 2003 an episode of director Alberto D'Onofrio's documentary, "DJ's Trip", broadcast by Cult Network (Sky), was devoted to him: a real journey finding out his life both as a man and a professional in the world of music.
In 2006 he issued his first disc, which he realized with his friend and dj Alex Neri, a single titled "I've done it". This is the occasion on which he founded his own indie which he named "LATERRA"[2]. Nowadays this label's issues are very successful, as they were from the beginning.
In 2007, from the 10th of July to the 11th of September he stands at his own party at the Privilege club(Ibiza). The party's name is "Alma" and its sound is organized by him personally. In this party he plays with some of the best internationally known djs, among these are Steve Bug, Ellen Allien, Matthew Johnson[disambiguation needed ], Timo Maas and many others.
