Scottish Parliament . She was re-elected in 2003. A member of the Scottish Parliament's "Justice 2 Committee" and "Public Petitions Committee", she was previously a member of theScottish Executive , serving as Minister for Social Justice whenHenry McLeish wasFirst Minister .As a backbench MSP, her call for tolls to be scrapped on the
Erskine Bridge (which connects her constituency toRenfrewshire ) [http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/4116631.stm] in 2004, was eventually adopted by the Scottish Executive and the tolls were abolished in March 2006.Jackie also allows secondary school pupils to join her on a work experience program where they are given an insight into politics.
