James Vernon Allridge III (
14 November 1962 –26 August 2004 ) was an Americanmurder er, born inColorado Springs, Colorado , executed bylethal injection by the state ofTexas . Allridge shot and killed Brian Clendennen, a youngconvenience store clerk at aCircle K in Fort Worth on3 February 1985 . He robbed around $300 from the store. His older brother Ronald Keith Allridge drove the get-away car.On
25 March 1985 , James drove the get-away car when his brother Ronald killed Carla McMillen during a robbery of aWhataburger restaurant in Fort Worth. Ronald was sentenced to death for this murder and was executed in 1995.When asked if he had a
final statement , Allridge addressed Brian Clendennen's brother (Shane) and sister, saying:James and Ronald's younger brother Stanley, who watched both their executions, has since become a speaker for the "Texas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty".
