Jean-Luc Bennahmias (born
2 December 1954 inParis ) is a French politician andMember of the European Parliament for the south-east ofFrance . He is a member of the Democratic Movement (formerlyFrench Green Party , part of theEuropean Greens ), and sits on theEuropean Parliament 's Committee on Employment and Social Affairs.He is also a substitute for the Committee on Culture and Education, a substitute for the Committee on Petitions, a member of the delegation for relations with
South Africa , and a substitute for the delegation for relations withCanada .Bennahmias is currently the candidate of the Democratic Movement for the municipal elections in
Marseille , to be held in March 2008.Career
