Prospective students may appear for a
JEXPO conducted by theWest Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) to be admitted to the institute or they can get admission directly by showing their class X certificate and result. After passing the JEXPO examination successfully the application Forms for admission will be supplied to all successful candidates called for counseling on payment of Rs.10/- in cash from any polytechnic in West Bengal on production of JEXPO Admit Card. No separate application form will be required to be submitted at the time of counseling. Filled-in application forms will be received at Kolkata Karigori Bhavan on the date and time of counseling. A candidate will be offered seat according to his/her merit position and on the availability of seat in a particular branch of Engineering/Technology at the particular polytechnic. If a candidate fails to appear on the appropriate date and time he/she will loose his/her merit position. The candidates are directed to appear personally before the Central Selection Committee at Kolkata Karigori Bhavan with duly filled-in application form, JEXPO Admit Card and all the certificates and testimonials in original. They are also directed to attach attested copies of the said testimonials along with the application form, candidates failing to get a chance of admission to any Polytechnic will be enlisted in the waiting list and may be considered for admission if subsequent vacancy arises. Female candidates not getting chance in Women’s Polytechnic(s) may appear with the General Candidates, as per their General Rank on the schedule date and time. All candidates are directed to keep in touch with the Notice Board of the nearest polytechnic for further information in respect of Selection and admission. Scheduled Caste/Tribe, Physically Handicapped candidates are directed to produce the Caste Certificate or Handicapped Certificates in Original from the competent authority at the time of counseling without which their claim for reserved seats will not be entertained.Besides, here teachers are very sincere and also they give the lesson to face the campussing.
