Henry le Despencer was a medieval Bishop of Norwich, the younger brother of Edward le Despencer, 1st Baron le Despencer.

He was nominated April 3 1370 and was consecrated on August 14 1370. Despencer won a reputation as the "Fighting Bishop" for putting down an outbreak of the Peasants' Revolt in Norfolk. However, his "crusade" in Flanders in 1383, nominally directed against the antipope Clement VII, was a fiasco. Upon his return to England, his temporalities were confiscated, but were returned in 1385.zFact|date=September 2008 He died on August 23 1406.Powicke "Handbook of British Chronology" p. 243]
