Simon of Elmham was a medieval Bishop of Norwich elect.

Life

He was Prior of Norwich from 1235. [http://british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=33866 British History Online Bishops of Norwich] accessed on October 29, 2007] He was elected to the see of Norwich about November 9 1236Powicke "Handbook of British Chronology" p. 242] but his election was quashed by Pope Gregory IX on January 17 1239 after King Henry III of England appealed to the pope and the case was heard by the papal legate Cardinal Otto.
