In 2004 Walker along with Bed Destroyers partner Fin formed The Summer Obsession. This time Walker put down the bass and played keyboards. The group started writing songs in the summer of 2004. They attended a Myspace party in Miami that summer where they met founder Tom Anderson. In 2005 the group landed a slot on a side stage of the Warped tour. They packed up Walker's Jeep and drove from Jacksonville to Indianapolis only to find that the stage had been canceled. After a few months of eight-hour practice sessions and countless showcases Virgin Records signed the band.
In July 2005, The Summer Obsession entered the studio with producer Josh Abraham (Velvet Revolver, Pink), engineer Ryan Williams (Rage Against the Machine, Outkast). Eventually Chris Wilson joined the group and in 2006 "This Is Where You Belong" was released.Allegiance To The Fire
On October 29, 2007 Walker along with former TSO band member Chris Wilson formed Allegiance To The Fire (ATF).www.allegiancetothefire.com] Guitarist CJ was later added to the group.
