is the managing director of . The ambitious Teppei seeks to expand operations of his company, and goes to his father to see if he can secure a loan from the bank. At the same time, the Minister of Finance imposes a series of economical reforms, one of which calls for the merging of around a dozen smaller Japanese banks into a few large banks in order to fend off foreign competitions in the banking sector. Daisuke must decide whether to protect his son's interest in manufacturing one of the finest steel products in the world, or to ensure the safety and survival of the bank that he controls.
Ratings
The series attracted good ratings. Over the course of its run, the series averaged 23.9% in the Kanto region (TBS) and 30.4% in the Kansai region (MBS).
