"Pholidogaster" is an extinct genus of amphibian that lived during the Middle Carboniferous period (late Viséan to early Serpukhovian). It was small to medium-size animal, 1 m in length.

The body was very long and thin. The legs were small and frail. Also, "Pholidogaster" had a strong armour of scutes.

Fossils were found in Gilmerton, Scotland.
