4 May 1979 inLas Cruces, New Mexico ) Americanlong jump er. He won the bronze medal at the 2007 Pan American Games. 2000 (Junior)Enjoyed one of the most successful individual track seasons in school history ... scored 29.50 points at the Big 12 Outdoor and was named Most Outstanding Male Performer ... won Big 12 titles in the 110 hurdles (13.67) and triple jump (52-6 3/4) ... runner-up in the long jump after tying Texas' Chris Hercules with a leap of 25-4 1/2 in a tiebreaker situation ... also ran the lead leg on the 1,600 relay which placed third with a 3:07.21 clocking in Columbia, Mo. ... earned All-America accolades with the mile relay indoors (4th) and outdoors (8th) ... finished 12th in the triple jump at both national meets ... just missed the triple jump school record with his 54-2 1/2 winning measure at the LSU Quad ... also posted wins at the USTCA National Championship, College Station Relays and Houston Indoor ... grabbed gold in the high hurdles at the College Station and Texas Relays ... ranks No. 10 on A&M's illustrious list of high hurdlers with his PR 13.67 ... finished third in the triple and fifth in the hurdles ... the 1,600 relay team posted the No. 5 time in school history with a blazing 3:03.97 in the prelims at the NCAA Outdoor ... the quartet finished third in both conference meets.
1999 (Sophomore)Advanced to the semifinals of the 110-meter hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Championships … placed fourth in the high hurdles at the Big 12 Outdoor with a time of 14.06 … also placed seventh in the triple jump at the conference meet … ran a PR 13.83 in the 110 hurdles at the Texas Relays … posted a PR triple jump of 51-1 3/4 at the Texas Relays … indoors, Ramzy placed eighth in both the long jump and triple jump at the Big 12 Indoor … became the fifth Aggie in school history to break the 50-foot barrier in the triple jump with a 50-9 1/2 effort at the Cougar Indoor.
1998 (Freshman)Placed seventh in the triple jump at the Big 12 Indoor meet and eighth in the triple at the conference outdoor … posted a then career-best mark of 49-1 in the triple jump at the A&M All-Comers … also had season-bests of 14.30 in the 110-meter hurdles and 23-1 1/2 in the long jump … indoors, Ramzy had a best mark of 48-4 1/2 in the triple and a best time of 7.51 in the 55-meter hurdles.
High SchoolPlaced third in the triple jump and fifth in the 110 hurdles at the 1997 Class 5A state meet … regional champion in the triple jump … was named district MVP … holds the school record in the 300-meter hurdles … coached by Buzz Andrews.
