The Borrowers is a BBC TV miniseries first broadcast in 1992 on BBC2, based on the book series "The Borrowers" by Mary Norton.
The show follows a family of tiny people, living under the floorboards in an old house. They furnish their home with cotton reels and safety pins, postage stamps for paintings and matchboxes for chests of drawers. They borrow all the things they need from the 'human beans' who don't even know they exist.
The two series follow their tiny adventures, as their lives become endangered and they have to find a new place to call home.
