Dživo Šiškov Gundulić

Dživo (Ivan) Šiškov Gundulić, also Giovanni di Sigismondo Gondola, (c.1678– c.1721) son of Šišmundo (Šiško) Gundulić and Katarina Nalješković ("Catterina de Nale"). He was the Rector of the Republic of Ragusa between 1696-1700. Following his father and his grandfather, he also wrote poetry: "Suze i tužbe Radmilove" (1702), "Radmio" (1701), "Oton" (1707) and "Filomena".

Also he composed diverse folklore songs, that have been preserved from generation to generation until today by the people of Dubrovnik. Dživo was accused for raping young Sephardic Jew Luna Židovka in the courts of Ragusa on March 13, 1699. Ivan Šiskov Gundulić engaged to Marija Božidarević ("Bosdari") and what happened after the raping young Luna Židovka (Protocol of the Conference that was held by the Council on Friday 13. march 1699).

Ivana Siskova Gundulica the Council had brought sequence judgments for the Ragusan Court, All the Bosdari nobles were made against Ivan Siskov and wanted revenge against him ; the sentenced againts Siskov was expulsion from Ragusan aristocracy; exile from the Republic; prohibition to sale their real estate or to give it to somebody else; punishment for possible repeated atack. In Ragusa took place the political confrontation between the Ragusan aristocracy on the end of 17.century between Salamankez and Sorbonez Ragusan patrician clans.
