"Bunchosia argentea" is a small red-orange fruit with sticky, dense pulp and a flavour resembling a dried fig. It is native to Central and South America. In the family Malpighiaceae it is related to the Nance and the Acerola.

It has a flavor similar to that of peanut butter, hence the name. Additionally, the scent is unmistakably of peanut butter. Mostly eaten fresh, also used for jellies, jams, or preserves. Native to South America, but grown mainly in South Florida.
