Athelstan II (or Æthelstan) was a medieval Bishop of Hereford.

He was consecrated between 1013 and 1016. Before his death, he had been blind for 13 years, and Tremerig was appointed as a suffragan bishop to assist Athelstan. Tremerig died shortly before Athelstan did.Mason "House of Godwine" p. 90] Because of his blindness, the task of helping defend the border against the Welsh fell to the bishops of Worcester.Barlow "Edward the Confessor" p. 205-207]

He died on February 10 1056.Fryde "Handbook of British Chronology" p. 217] His death may have been from old age, or it may have been as a consequence of the burnign of his cathedral by the Welsh shortly before.Walker "Harold" p. 80] After his death, he was considered for sainthood.Loyn "English Church" p. 9]
