In February 2008, the daily newspaper has been completely re-branded, changed the format from broadsheet to compact, went full-color and now includes the only nation-wide job classifieds section.

It was established on 19 February, 1921 as the mouthpiece for the Soviet Labor Unions. It emphasized labor and economic analyses and included other official decrees and orders.
