Raffles Hospital (Chinese: 莱佛士医院) which was officially opened in 16 March 2002 is the flagship hospital of Raffles Medical Group in
Singapore . It is located along the junction of North Bridge Road and Ophir Road.The hospital is a 380-bed tertiary care private hospital offering a full complement of specialist services using the most advanced medical technology. It was converted from the former Blanco Court when Pidemco-Raffles Properties bought over the former shopping centre S$200 million was spent. The hospital came under international spotlight in Jul 2003 for the first ever attempt to separate two adult twins joined at the head,
Ladan Bijani andLaleh Bijani , but the two twins died after excessive blood loss. The surgery was helmed by DrKeith Goh , who was a neurosurgeon at the hospital at that time. However, the hospital won back some recognition when South Korean twins Min Ji Hye and Min Sa Rang, joined at the lower spine was successfully separated.External links
