"Futures" is the title track of Jimmy Eat World's fourth album. It was the released as a promo 7", pressed on clear vinyl. It reached #27 on the US Modern Rock Tracks chart in 2005.

When Jim Adkins sings "I hope for better in November" he is referring to the 2004 presidential election. The ability to change things in the future is the major theme of the song.
