Devon's New Roommate

Noah is introduced as Devon Sylver's new roommate after John's death. He is displayed as socially awkward and "nerdy", but he has a good heart and high ambitions. He soon becomes friends with Sam.

An Awkward Kiss

When Samantha Best and Noah team up for a business class assignment that involves Sam's then-ex-boyfriend, Devon, they develop a mutual attraction. After setting up an auction for their assignment in which the winner receives a date with Devon, they kiss. However, both realize that their relationship felt wrong. They still remain good friends.

Hot For Teacher

After starting his film studies class, Noah discovers that his professor, Ms. Fisher, is an attractive woman with a history of close relations to her students. They bond over their interests in movies, and soon form a relationship.

Both Noah and his professor are happy together in a secret romance, but Noah discovers something shocking: Ms. Fisher is married to his business professor, Mr. Grant. He confronts her, and they break up. Afterwards, Noah finds out that she left Mr. Grant, and he suspects that she left him for another man.

Later, her husband realizes that Noah was seeing his wife, and punches him. Ms. Fisher apologizes for her ex-husband's actions, and she and Noah decide to give their romance another shot. However, she realizes that she still has feelings for her husband, and that Noah should be with someone his own age. They break up, this time for good.

Noah and Kathryn

Noah and Kathryn begin forming a good friendship with each other. When Kathryn is sexually assaulted by Beau, her ex-boyfriend, Noah finds out and is furious. He tells her that if she doesn't inform the authorities of the attack, then he will do it himself. When Kathryn goes to confront Beau, Noah defends her and calls Beau a "lecherous pig". Beau's mother threatens Kathryn with retribution, but the charges are pressed. Later, Noah and Kathryn set up a date, but their plans are halted when Kathryn's father arrives with a copy of a stripping video that Kathryn had previously made for Beau, sent by Beau's mother for revenge. Mr. Klarner angrily tells Kathryn that he's pulling her out of Charles University. Noah, who believed that Kathryn stood him up, confronts her and finds out about her forcible withdrawal from school. The next day, Noah confronts Kathryn's dad, telling him that what happened to Kathryn was his own fault because of his obsession with a blue-blood boyfriend for his daughter. Kathryn tells Noah it's too late and she has no choice, but Noah desperately states, "No, it's not too late! It's "never" too late!" Kathryn leaves nonetheless, but not before kissing Noah goodbye.
