Agios Ioannis Rentis (Greek: Άγιος Ιωάννης Ρέντης, first part meaning Saint John) is a suburb in the southwestern part of Athens, Greece. It is located S of Athinon Avenue, about 6 km W of Athens, N of Poseidonos Avenue and NE of Piraeus. The main streets are Kifissou Avenue (now a superhighway: GR-1/E75 and GR-89), Petrou Ralli Avenue to the north, and Thivon Avenue running to the west. The OSE railway runs in the south.

The area was agricultural and rural, with forests dominating its north, until the 1920s. In the '20s and '30s, urban development in the north and east (part of the Athens Industrial Area) replaced much of the farmlands. Today, much of the municipality is industrialized, with urban residences in the west and an industrial area to the north and east, away from the Cephissus. A forested park area lies in the north.

Agios Ioannis Rentis has schools, lyceums, gymnasia, banks, a train station, a sports centre, cinemas, post offices and squares ("plateies").

The Olympiakos FC used to train in this area.

The present mayor of the city is George Ioakeimidis
