Two teams of two studio contestants and one celebrity compete all week in a "question-and-answer" game. One team chooses how many of the opposing team they wanted to challenge. They then chose from one of three categories which presented general knowledge questions. For each player knocked out, the point values were as the following: 1 for $100, 2 for $200, and 3 for $300.
The team with the most money then played the bonus round, where the three players alternated turns and identified subjects based on revealing one letter at a time. The jackpot started at $5,000 and increased $1,000 for every day it wasn’t won.
Teams competed on the show for a full week, with the civilian players splitting winnings equally. In addition, the two players on the team which earned the most money during the week each received a new car.
Episode Status
Only five episodes are known to exist and are available via the trading circuit. The other seven weeks worth of shows episodes were likely wiped by NBC in the 70's when videotape was an expensive commodity.
