Héctor Vergara (born
15 December ,1966 ) is a Canadiansoccer referee . Although born inSan Javier, Chile Vergera grew up inWinnipeg, Manitoba , Canada. He attendedJohn Taylor Collegiate . In the early 1990’s Vergara earned a Bachelor of Recreation Studies (Sports Administration) and a Bachelor of Arts in Advance Phychology from theUniversity of Manitoba .Vergera played soccer competitively for 10 years and recreationally for 30 years. He began working as a referee in 1983 and now has 24 years of experience as a referee. After refereeing 77 international Vergera stated his most memorable game was the 3rd Place Final
2002 FIFA World Cup between Korea and Japan.Vergera is married and has 2 children.
