History

The Louise Wegmann School, known in Lebanon as “Collège Louise Wegman” or CLW is a non denominational educational institution (incl. kindergarten, primary school and high school) founded in 1965 by the disciples of Mrs. Louise Wegman, leading Lutheran educator and social worker active in Lebanon in the 1920-1950 era.

Campus

The main campus is located in the village of Bchémoun 5 miles from Beirut and set on a picturesque Mediterranean pine tree forest (see photo).A new Campus opened in Badaro beirut on a surface of 4 hectares.

Direction

Two Persons directed the College since its foundation, Miss Abou (1965-1999) and Mrs Tiba Geha-Villard (2000-present).Mrs. Geha Villard received in December 2008 the Palme Académique for the best diretor from the French republic, which amplified the school's prestige.

Students

Collège Louise Wegmann has around 1500 students.
