Before World War II it was part of a szlachta (Polish nobility) estate, belonging to Jan Czarnowski. The Czarnkowski's family palace was built shortly after World War I by Juliusz Nagórski [ [http://www.warszawa1939.pl/osoba_obiekty.php?osoba_id=13 Poland history website] ] ; it was a small but luxurious holiday palace.
