Australian rules football er who was highly successful in theWest Australian Football League (WAFL) playing for theSwan Districts Football Club .Originally playng in the seconds for Swan Districts his long career began at the club in 1954 along withKeith Slater .A lightly built player he started on the wing but developed later into an outstanding
ruck rover . In his debut season in the league competition, 1958, Nesbit won the "Rookie of the Year" title. Playing in theback pocket of all threepremiership sides he was an integral part of the team and a solid contributor.Nesbit was
co-captain of the Swan Districts in 1965 and 1966. In 1968 Nesbitt was appointed ascaptain /coach of the side but was unable to lift the swans from the bottom of the ladder. The 1968 season was so bad that the team only recorded one win for the season.Nesbit retired in 1970 after playing 235 games for the club, he is now a life member.He was selected as aruck rover in the Swan Districts Team of the Century.References
