Yu won the bronze medal in the
2006 IBF World Championships in women's doubles withDu Jing . They were defeated in semifinals byGao Ling andHuang Sui ofChina , 21-18, 20-22, 17-21.The following year they also played at the
2007 BWF World Championships . They were seeded #5 and were defeated in the second round by awalkover . In mixed dobles she played withHe Hanbin , seeded #7, and lost in the third round againstRobert Mateusiak andNadiezda Kostiuczyk ofPoland .
