"The Cleansing" is Suicide Silence's first full-length album. It was released on September 18, 2007 through Century Media Records.

Overview

On June 22, the track listing was released online.The songs "Bludgeoned to Death" and "Unanswered" were released by the band on their [http://www.myspace.com/suicidesilence MySpace] page.The hidden track "Destruction of a Statue" has guest vocals by Nate Johnson, vocalist of Deadwater Drowning and Through the Eyes of the DeadMusic videos have been released for the songs "The Price of Beauty" (of which was blacklisted from MTV for being "too visually and lyrically explicit") and "Bludgeoned to Death".

The opening track, "Revelations (Intro)" includes a clip from Freddy vs. Jason.The album debuted at #94 on the Billboard Top 200, selling 7,250 copies the first week, and became the highest selling artist debut in Century Media history.
