The Insomniax, (James Anderson b. May 18th 1985, and Edwin Kwesi Opoku b. Jan 21st 1985) are an urban production team from the
United Kingdom .They first emerged in 2003 as staff producers for British independent record label Trinity Records where they created remixes for B2K, Beyonce and Nas.In 2004 they contributed to the burgeoning UK music movement - G-Hop by producing classic tracks for Mr Carl Ramsey, Rosie Wilson, and Carly Bond.
Their most notable musical output has come from their relationship with Hollywood actor
Idris Elba , whose debut musical album, recorded under the alias Big Driis, they produced in 2005.In 2007 they released they formed their own record label Dare Music with British entrepreneur Mark Anderson, in order to release their own material.
Their debut release on Dare Music is 'The Green Cross Code ep' due for release in October 2007.
The ep is a mixture of soulful lyrical vocal arrangement and gritty city London beats and guitars which has bee described as Rock soul.
