Carlo Recalcati (born
September 11 ,1945 inMilan ,Italy ) is an Italian basketball coach and a former player. As of the 2007/08 season, he is the coach of theItaly national basketball team . He has been coaching the national team since 2001 and has led them to the silver medal in the 2004 Olympics and bronze medal in theEurobasket 2003 .As a player on the club level, he played for
Pallacanestro Cantù (1962-1979, won the Italian Championship in 1968 and 1975) andPallacanestro Parma (1979-1981). He also played for the national team from 1967 to 1976 (winning the bronze atEurobasket 1971 andEurobasket 1975 ).As a coach, he coached
