Bishop William Wareing was the first Roman Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Northampton.Born

5 June 1840 , aged 49, he was appointed Vicar Apostolic of the Eastern District, England, Great Britain, as well asTitular Bishop ofAreopolis .On
29 September 1850 , aged 59, he was appointed the firstBishop of Northampton following the re-establishment of the Catholic Hierarchy.On
21 December 1858 , aged 67, he resigned as Bishop of Northampton, and was appointed Titular Bishop ofRhithymna . On26 December 1865 , aged 74, he died, aged 74, as Bishop Emeritus of Northampton and Titular Bishop ofRhithymna . He had been a priest for 50 years and a bishop for 25 years.Links
