nihongo|Kanata Irei|伊礼彼方|Irei Kanata is a Japanese actor, musician and fashion model. He was born February 3, 1982 in Argentina as nihongo|Daniel Maximiliano Irei|ダニエルマクシミリアーノ伊礼彼方|, but because he doesn't like his given Chilean name he made his name to be "Kanata" on websites and on TV appearances. He is half-Japanese and half-Chilean. He was brought up in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan since he was 6.

His favorite hobbies are playing soccer and billiard, snowboarding and skateboarding. Special abilities of his are making cocktails, and he is able to play the trumpet and other instruments, such as the guitar and the piano. Besides being very active with music, he also is a model and an actor. He does NOT speak Spanish and he may understand only a handful of words.

His musical activities started while in junior high school where he joined his first band, The Lantern, in the year 2001, which later disbanded in 2003. In 2004, he started a new band, Daniel Control, where he is the lead vocalist, and also plays the guitar and piano. Daniel Control has also won a competition.
