Sinclair began his career at Blackpool where he played from 1989 to 1993. When he made his debut for Blackpool, on
19 August 1989 , he became the club's youngest ever player, at 16 years, 5 months, breakingColin Greenall 's record set nine years earlier. Sinclair's record was in turn broken byMatty Kay in November 2005. In 1993 he moved to Queens Park Rangers, then to West Ham United in 1998 and then Manchester City in 2003.In 1997 he won the
