Campbell McGrath (born 1962) is a notable modern American
poet . He is the author of six full-length collections of poetry, including his most recent, "Pax Atomica".Life
McGrath was born in
Chicago, Illinois , and grew up inWashington, D.C. , where he attended Sidwell Friends School. He received his B.A. from theUniversity of Chicago in 1984 and his MFA fromColumbia University 's creative writing program in 1988, where he was classmates withRick Moody . He currently lives inMiami, Florida , and teaches creative writing atFlorida International University , where his students have includedRichard Blanco .
