Baba Ishak

Baba Ishak, also spelled Baba Ishaq, Babaî, or Bābā’ī, a charismatic preacher, led an uprising of the Turkmen of Anatolia against the Seljuq Sultanate of Rûm "c." 1239 until he was hanged in 1241. ["Cambridge Illustrated History of the Middle Ages, 1250-1520", p. 279]
